My first introduction to yoga was a Rodney Yee video that I picked up the bookstore. I loved weight lifting and thought this “gentle” form of exercise would help me in my flexibility. It was then that I realized that yoga was not just stretching and was harder than I thought it would be! A few years later, I decided to try Bikram yoga and loved it. I started off slow with a very inconsistent practice (2x/week) and became much more consistent after the birth of my son. I’ve been practicing this yoga for over 10 years and still constantly learning something new about the yoga and my practice. I’m passionate about sharing my love of yoga with others and my husband jokes that it’s my answer to almost everything (It’s true!). I’ve been known to break out yoga postures at my dentist’s office and at work to get my co-workers interested in yoga. I look forward to sharing my love of yoga and hope to inspire others to deepen their practice.
