SHERIDAN O. – For those of you who have done hot yoga before, you know that musty smell that studios sometimes get? Well you won’t find that here. It is pristine!
I had a bad ski accident and had to have several knee surgeries. I also traveled like crazy for work–commuting to Australia every two weeks. The combination meant that I gained over twenty pounds. I mean what else is there to do but drink wine, eat junk food and watch movies on 14 hour flights?
Anyway, I decided that I was going to change my lifestyle, lose the extra weight and strengthen the knee. I have tried many forms of exercise, but there is something about hot yoga that gets results quickly.
I have now been going for three weeks. The owner, Hoa is really helpful. She has a passion for yoga and how it can transform people’s lives. There are some poses that I am unable to do because of my knee. She’s always ready with alternates and encouragement.
Not only is the studio beautiful and clean, it is friendly and welcoming. For those of you who have done hot yoga before, you know that musty smell that studios sometimes get? Well you won’t find that here. It is pristine.
Also, it is not one of those snobby studios where everyone is a yogi. It’s a studio for real people who want to encourage one another. They often have really good new member specials so it is definitely worth a try.
I’ve also lost several pounds, but mostly I just feel better. My skin has a glow that hasn’t been there in a while. Also, I just don’t feel as tight all over. Another side benefit is that I know I’m going to be sweating for 90 minutes so I make better food choices. I’m still not a yogi, but I definitely feel better.
RICHARD V.: “… the most beautifully designed and technically engineered studio I have sweated and meditated in all 26 asanas.”
I have practiced yoga for 16 years and have focused on Bikram Hot Yoga for most of that time. I have travelled far and wide, mostly for work, all across the United States. My first prerogative upon landing is getting my tired, wretched body in that hot room to workout the kinks and restore balance to my body, mind and soul.
Needless to say, I have been to many studios, but this one just outside Raleigh, North Carolina in the suburban town of Cary, and aptly named “Cary Hot Yoga”, is perhaps the most beautifully designed and technically engineered studio I have sweated and meditated in all 26 asanas. The studio is owned by charming wife and husband team of 20 years Hoa and Jeff. They have taken the utmost care and attention to detail in building a modern yet zen environment for the practice of yoga. Upon entering this non-descriptive building, your eye is instantly drawn to a glamorous crystal chandelier hanging from the high ceiling, perfectly positioned at the entry way to circulate positive energy and dispel negative spirits. It is an heirloom passed down from Jeff’s family. You are greeted cheerfully and welcomed with open arms.
The facilities are impeccably clean, including the bathroom and showers. To get to the changing room and yoga studio you pass through a long hallway ordained with paintings from local artists. The yoga studio was retrofitted with a state-of-the-art HVAC system that only 6 Sigma engineers could possibly conceive. Oh, did I mention Jeff and Hoa met years ago while working at GE as engineers. They have somehow eliminated the stereotypical smell of a Bikram Hot Yoga studio; you regulars know what I’m talking about. The floors are canvassed with a synthetic, soft cork material that is cleaned after every class, and at nights by Jeff himself.
As if this wasn’t enough, the couple have also added an aerial yoga room, which I did not have a chance to try but certainly looked appealing. If this is your home studio, you are certainly blessed and I would highly recommend Hoa’s class, which she teaches insightfully with love. If you’re an out-of-towner like me, come break a sweat and check out the nicest studio on both sides of the Mississippi!
LAURAN C – “I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about Cary Hot Yoga and I couldn’t wait to step foot into this brand new facility.”
I’m spoiling myself rotten with all these amazing new hot yoga studios opening in the Triangle area. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about Cary Hot Yoga and I couldn’t wait to step foot into this brand new facility.
Much bigger and brighter then some other studios I’ve practiced at. They had their grand opening this weekend and were offering free classes all weekend long. One of my favorite instructors, Kate Cook is teaching here and I couldn’t wait to take her class. I love that they offer both unheated and heated classes, plus aerial. They have a large welcome area with a nice meeting table and some snacks. There is a full schedule of classes everyday of the week and their pricing is pretty similar to other studios I visit but a little pricey for a walk in at $18 (I’m hoping that includes towels & a mat).
They had some great options they were offering for their grand opening and I was able to snag a $75 unlimited for 1 month. This will give me a chance to check out some other instructors and get a real feel for the studio. I thought all the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The studio itself is beautiful, great flooring, mirrors, heat etc. The local art on all the walls is beautiful and giving some local love back to the community is great.
The studio is located in the Food Lion Shopping Center off of Kildaire Farm rd. and there is plenty of parking. Looking forward to seeing all this studio has to offer.
DANI D – The variety of classes is perfect and the intuitive instructors tailor support to individual student needs
I have encountered a welcoming community of amazing people (students, instructors, owners) at Cary Hot Yoga at various classes throughout the week. The variety of classes is perfect and the intuitive instructors tailor support to individual student needs. Different classes allow for both play and serious practice. The studio itself is beautiful and modern with luxurious bathrooms with showers…not to mention the coolest ice/water machine in the lobby!
CARA L – We are blessed to have Hot Yoga in CARY!
I started taking Bikram classes in January 2015. I was looking for a winter survival strategy to help me cope with the aches and pains that come with my middle age body. After only one week, I felt fantastic and started sleeping more soundly. Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend: I went on a sea kayak/camping trip with my son. Most adults on this adventure seemed younger and I knew many were runners or CrossFitters. Well, guess who paddled three days in a row and still had energy at the end of the trip? ME. Nearly everyone complained of sore backs and tight hips, as well as the typical soreness that comes from sleeping on the ground at night. Not ME. Although a definite beginner in Bikram, it has already changed my life. I find the studio very welcoming, super clean, and the instructors are outstanding. We are blessed to have Hot Yoga in CARY!
KATHERINE G – This facility is AMAZING! Everything is clean and aesthetically pleasing.
This facility is AMAZING! Everything is clean and aesthetically pleasing. I had never done aerial yoga before, but i am now hooked. The owner is very nice and accommodating. Will be back many times
CECILE – Best yoga studio I have ever joined. Love it!
Beautiful, clean, friendly and supportive. Best yoga studio I have ever joined. Love it!
ALBERT M – The studio facilities at Cary Hot Yoga are one of the best I have ever seen.
I have been practicing hot yoga now for about eleven years and have had the opportunity to visit other Bikram studios around the country. The studio facilities at Cary Hot Yoga are one of the best I have ever seen. Hoa and her staff are all very well trained instructors. The hot yoga room was designed with a state-of-the-art HVAC system, keeping the room at the right temperature, along with wooden flooring and high ceilings which maximize your experience during class. The wood flooring is important because it assists with maintaining your balance during class. I recommend Cary Hot Yoga to practitioners at all levels!!
SERGIO P – I love the high ceilings, the cleanliness, and especially the fact that the teachers are serious about the yoga
I love the high ceilings, the cleanliness, and especially the fact that the teachers are serious about the yoga (in _other_ Bikram studios I used to go, there was too much talk and not enough time spent on the poses).
