Whether you are attempting for the first time or working to develop more strength and grace in challenging poses, come expand your physical and mental possibilities through exploration of arm balancing techniques!

Arm balances require openness, relaxation and an element of courage and adventure. Strength is not always the most critical aspect of moving into an arm balance. Often more challenging is the mental focus required for the mix of effort and ease!

In this workshop you will learn how to access several empowering poses with the goal of safely incorporating them into your practice by building upper body and abdominal strength, improve concentration, develop shoulder, wrist and hand strength all the while improving circulation and fluidity.

If you can support yourself in a healthy Chaturanga Dandasana or Plank Pose then you have the upper body strength required for most arm balances and inversions! Included in this workshop will be several variations of Crow pose (bakasana), Grasshopper, Eight Angle Pose (astavakrasana), Firefly, chin balance, and more provided time.

Light refreshment will be served.
