Mindful Meditation for kids


Kids aren’t always as excited as we are about mindfulness practices, like meditation and yoga. But children have a lot to gain from learning how to cultivate mindfulness on their own. Giving kids the tools to help them fend off negative thoughts and behaviors, build self-confidence, focus, and treat others and themselves with respect and appreciation is a gift they will have for the rest of their lives.
Cary Hot Yoga is excited to introduce a new Multi-level kid’s class that is designed to make Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga accessible to children 10 and above.

We use meditation, sound therapy, pranayama (breathing technique), asana (yoga poses), and PLAY to build strength, awaken the senses and further intertwine the mind-body-spirit connection.
Why Mindfulness Meditation is good for children?
Mindfulness provides children with simple, practical tools to work directly with their nervous systems, helping them regulate emotional states and focus attention.
Mindfulness develops life long skill sets for children. According to research conducted by the University of California in conjunction with Mindful Schools, a program that aims to integrate mindfulness into classrooms, benefits of mindfulness practice for young children include:

Join us for an 8-week Mindful Meditation Techniques for kids on Friday from 5:30PM to 6:30PM. We’ll explore difference styles from Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness meditation, Mantra meditation. Meditation is about altering consciousness, finding awareness, and achieving peace. The goal is to create a sense of calm and inner harmony.
